We were pleased to have made our latest cruise booking with our preferred travel agent of choice Reader Offers Ltd. In 2015 Reader Offers Ltd will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary and as one of their top customers we were personally invited to celebrate with them. We were offered 20,000 Cruise Miles for only £100 which we were able to redeem against our booking. Next year the Dream Designs Colchester website will be celebrating its 5th Anniversary. In addition to this during the 3 night cruise on board Magellan, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester will be celebrating his 21st Birthday. This latest cruise booking aboard Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ new flagship is our third booking with the traditionally British cruise line, following our most recent cruise aboard Marco Polo in September 2014. I wanted to take a brief moment to share with you all some of the photographs we purchased on board Cruise & Maritime Voyages' Marco Polo during our 3 night cruise on board last week. We had a truly fantastic cruise, exceeding our expectations! Marco Polo is a lovely ship, with so much character and charm. We we're worried she might not compare to the ships we have previously cruised on, but she was equally as impressive as the much larger ships. During the cruise, just before departing from Antwerp, we were invited to the bridge to meet with Captain Nikolaos Michaloliakos where I officially presented my drawing. The ship's photographer was there too! I do hope that you enjoy the small selection of photographs below. I have also included a full image of our especially assigned drawing of Marco Polo, with a link to additional images. Please do keep a look out for our full Cruise Report in the coming weeks, which will feature many of our own photographs and a full review of our time on board Marco Polo and on shore in Antwerp and Amsterdam! In the meantime don't forget to follow along with us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with the latest developments, news and drawings. Thank you for your continued support. Kind regards Harry Cotterill President & Managing Director Dream Designs Colchester ENDS

A short while later they were met by Stuart Horne, Fleet Director, Voyages of Discovery who took them into the Cruise Terminal to collect their passes from the Passes Office before escorting them on board. Upon boarding Voyager, Stuart took Harry and Gavin to the Captain's cabin, where they met with the Master, Captain Oleksandr Tkachuk before being invited to the bridge for the official drawing presentation. Both Captain Tkachuk and Fleet Director, Stuart Horne seemed to be very impressed with the drawing of Voyager and spent a few minutes studying it! We have recently been informed by Voyages of Discovery that the drawing is proudly displayed on the bridge and we are awaiting photographs to share with you. Following the official drawing presentation, both Harry and Gavin took the chance to explore the bridge. They of course could not miss the opportunity to each have a photograph taken on the bridge wing. Captain Tkachuk then invited Harry and Gavin to tour Voyager's passenger amenities. The Captain introduced them to Yuriy Oboychuk, Safety Officer who would guide them around the ship. Their guided tour started at the very top of Voyager on the Sun Deck, where Harry and Gavin got to see some of the outside deck space including the swimming pool, jacuzzis and Lido Bar as well as the funnel, before taking a look at The Bridge Club and Fitness Centre towards the aft. Moving down to the Bridge Deck, Safety Officer, Yuiry invited Harry and Gavin to enjoy breakfast with him in the Veranda Restaurant. They did not stop long before continuing the guided tour as Voyager was only berthed at Harwich International Port to disembark passengers. The tour continued on Discovery Deck, where Harry and Gavin had a brief look at the Darwin Lounge and Lookout Lounge. Heading towards the aft of the ship they passed through Scott's Lounge, the Library and the Shop before entering the Discovery Restaurant. Lastly their guided tour took them down to the Livingstone Deck, where they got to take a look at the Reception and Shore Excursions desk. Unfortunately as Voyager was only berthed alongside the Cruise Terminal at Harwich International Port for a short period of time to disembark passengers only, it was a brief visit on board and lots of the public areas where full of passengers waiting to disembark with their luggage. Yuriy Oboychuk, Safety Officer then guided Harry and Gavin back to Discovery Deck where they had boarded Voyager and disembarked the vessel with them. Having disembarked Voyager they handed back their passes to the Passes Office in the Cruise Terminal. Before leaving Harwich International Port, Harry and Gavin took the opportunity to take a number of photographs with Voyager berthed behind them. Harry especially took a moment to have a photograph taken with a Voyages of Discovery flag which was kindly given to him by Harwich International Port some years previously. On the morning of June 6th 2014, Harry Cotterill, President & Managing Director, Dream Designs Colchester and Gavin, Pamment, Chief Photographer, Dream Designs Colchester arrived the Maersk Line's Office in Felixstowe to meet with Steve Mann, Port Operations Manager, Maersk Line at approximately 10:00. Whilst they were waiting three others visitors arrived, which were employees from the Port of London. A short while later Steve Mann came to meet Harry and Gavin and the other visitors in the reception at Maersk House and gave them each a reflective jacket and hardhat. Leaving the office, Harry and Gavin along with the other visitors were driven to Tomline House at the Port of Felixstowe, where they collected their passes in order to gain access to the quayside and ship. Once they had collected their passes Steve Mann drove them to the end of Trinity Terminal where Eleonora Maersk was berthed. Before making their way along the quayside to board Eleonora Maersk, Harry and Gavin both took the opportunity to have a photograph taken with the vessel berthed directly behind them and of course took lots of photos of the giant ship as well. Steve Mann then safely guided Harry and Gavin, as well as the three other visitors along the quayside to the gangway leading up to the main deck on Eleonora Maersk, which in total had over 80 steps! Upon boarding Eleonora Maersk, Harry and Gavin along with the other visitors were immediately escorted to the bridge, high above the quayside and the main deck of the ship. From the bridge the visitors had a great view over the ship, the Port of Felixstowe and the surrounding areas. After exploring the bridge, visitors were invited to head outside, one deck up on to the very top of the ship above the bridge. This offered even better views and the opportunity to see the vessel's funnel up close too, which made for another great photo opportunity for Harry and Gavin. Moving back down to the bridge, Harry and Gavin had the chance to take some more photographs of the navigational equipment. They also took the chance to each have a photograph taken at the ship's wheel! Next one of the Officers on the bridge, invited the visitors and the Port Operations Manager, Steve Mann to tour the rest of the vessel, including the crew's living areas as well as the various equipment and machinery below decks. Slowly moving down through the accommodation block, some twelve decks high, visitors saw some of the areas where the crew relax and socialize and other areas including the main switch room and control room. Continuing further down, the visitors explored even more of the ship, including the generator room as well as the enormous main engine which powers the ship. The engine is the largest marine engine in the world and is 89 feet long, 44 feet wide and delivers 107,389 horsepower! Next on the guided tour Harry and Gavin, along with the other visitors got to view the propeller shaft. The propeller shaft tunnel is more than 120 meters in length, stretching from the main engine, to the stern of the vessel. Having seen much of the equipment and machinery on board Eleonora Maersk, the visitors were guided back up to the main deck, where they could disembark the vessel via the gangway escorted by Steve Mann. Having disembarked Eleonora Maersk after what was a somewhat different ship visit, Harry and Gavin took the chance to have some more photographs taken together with the vessel berthed behind them before leaving the Port of Felixstowe. Before heading back the Maersk House with Steve Mann, the visitors watched the operations taking places on the quayside at Trinity Terminal.
